Women's Education :From the perspective of deprived girls

Once Vivekanad  said," If you educate a man , you educate an individual. But if you educate a woman, you educate a family".

Quotes are meant to be for a good starting because to educate a woman from roots  in real world is not a snap.  Did you ever think those girls perspective about women education who live in villages or in deprived areas?   Let's elaborate this with my own experience...

Recently, I interacted with some class 10th girls through Naandi Foundation , an NGO.  I noticed many points ..first of all, their education level ..  they are in class 10th  but they are unable to write the name  of their own parents , they even did'nt know the spelling of High School .  I asked them what do they expect  from this so called studies ? And some of them answered , personally they are not willing to go school,   just beacuse their  parents forced them  so they have to go . They have neither  any plans for further studies  nor for gaining more  knowledge  , they are happy what they are.  I tried hard to explain them that education is not all about making a career or for showing themselves classy  , it can also be about our basic knowledge like our health, about adulthood , our society systems  etc . But their response was  like Why ..why  should i learn?

Now what about them , The Beti Bachao , Beti Padhao, the Women empowernment , the Financial inclusion ..what is the value of these elite words to them ?

Education is the excercise of easing learning, or the gaining of understanding , knowledge, capabilities, practicality , morals , optimism and practices. But, are schools and colleges normalizing these basics? The answer is no.. not at all . Unless we know the importance of something , how can we give priority to that thing ? Same thing applies for education system too.

High dropout rate, priority to Son's Education compared to Daughter's Education, lack of adequate  number of Female Teacher's  , Gender bias in Curriculum  . ..all these reasons are for later , first we need to change their perspective about education , need to change their mind set  that has already thought 'Education is not  their cup of  tea'. It's difficult but not impossible.
